I was at work today and I realized how much I enjoy my job. I called my boss as I was walking out of my apartment to see if she wanted breakfast. I stopped at McDonald's, got us breakfast, and chilled out in her office and chatted. I clocked in a half hour later in order to enjoy my breakfast. Once I went outside onto the pool deck I got to chat with a couple girls and talk some shit. It was wonderful! I walk around barefooted and I get to laugh and good off a lot. In fact, my favorite event is coming up this weekend, our annual swim meet! To some of my coworkers, it means a long day of loud people and having to wake up at an ungodly hour. But to me, it means a day to hang at the pool, goof off with my coworkers, watch a sport I absolutely adore, and eat a ridiculous amount of junk food from our snack bar.
As I get older I'm so sad that I'm going to have to eventually leave this place. Its totally sucky that I can't make a living at that place. I'm hoping that one day I'll find a job that will do more than just pay my bills, and that I can enjoy just as much as this job (minus not the walking barefoot and in a bathingsuit thing.) I'm at a point in my life where I need a better paying job, that gives me enough hours that I can help Chad contribute to buying a house, so we can take that next baby step (emphasis on the baby.) I just really need to keep my fingers crossed so that I can find something I love and soon. Because come October 8th, the pool closes and hours are going down down down. But instead of stressing about it, I'm going to enjoy this time as much as possible :)
